Wedding Website

Beth, on May 13, 2021 at 8:11 PM Posted in Planning 1 28
I’m wondering who all has a wedding website & if so what site do you use? What are you using it for? Are you having guests RSVP on it? I would like to have one for hotel information, things to do in the area, registry, and possibly to have guests RSVP to things on there. I have one set up on Wedding Wire but I can’t figure out how to change the menu choices...does anyone know? Since I can’t figure it out it had me thinking maybe another site is better for what I need so I wanted to see what everyone was using & for what. tenor.gif

I'm using WW, and highly recommend you use a different site. I didn't realize how many issues there were until after I sent out my save the dates with the WW website on it. All have been manageable, but annoying issues for me, but if you go through some older posts you'll see some brides with major issues. I've heard great things about the Knot and Zola.

But if you are looking to change your menu, go to your guest list, select the event, eg. Wedding, click on the Settings button in the top left, and you can change your menu options there.

When we got married, we used the Knot to create our wedding website. I have heard from rather negative reviews for WeddingWire's website. On our website we included how we met, our proposal story, who each person was in our bridal party and a photo of them, hotel info, photos of us, our registries, and a FAQ. We decided against RSVPing through our website website and had everyone mail back their RSVPs.

Thank you so much Melanie! That’s a huge help! And I appreciate your feedback. I had started a website on the knot but liked that the Wedding Wire provided options for the guests to RSVP but I’ll definitely search some older posts & see what others had to say.

I used The Knot as well. I was happy with it. I had the wedding details, our registry, and hotel information. They can also do RSVPs on there. I did traditional cards in the mail, but I've RSVPed as a guest on The Knot before. My sister in law has a site through Zola and she likes it except she's had some issues with the registry part (there were a few gifts people bought through it that never got to her and instead Zola just tried to give them the cash, which they felt was kinda sketchy and weird).

Can you RSVP on the Knot’s website? I can’t seem to figure out how to add that option.

Thanks Hannah. That’s good to know. I started a website on the Knot and was just looking how to add an RSVP section but I can’t figure it out lol. I’ll try & play around with it a little more.

We used The Knot for our wedding website and I think its far less clunky and more user friendly than WW's interface. I also like that you can keep your information off search engines and keep guest RSVP private, which are enhanced security features WW doesn't offer.

Ours provides our story, travel info, photos, Covid safety info, and an RSVP page. The RSVP collects meal information and is customizable, so you can add stuff like dietary restrictions, song requests, or Covid test/vaccine agreements if you want. We've gotten compliments on how nicely our website is set up and that it is easy for guests to use.

We had a wedding website through The Knot. We used it for wedding information, hotel room block information, and for RSVP's.

We're using Wix and couldn't be happier. It's used for everything you mentioned and you can customize it literally any way you want. Super user friendly.

Hi! I am using withjoy.com - I like this one better than all the others. I've tried using both WW and The Knot but to me Joy has a better layout. It can do all of the things you mentioned. The only downside that I have come across is that editing most parts of the website has to be done on a computer - not the app. The app is pretty limited as far as editing goes.

I'm using wedding wire. If you click the edit buttin at the top of your website, then "pages" you should be able to add, delete, and edit each page that you want!

It's working out great with mine, and I'm very happy with it's simple look 😁 (I wanted simple).

Because of the countless glitches and other issues people have mentioned about WW, we decided to use either withjoy.com or wix.com. Both options are very user friendly.

We will give guests the option to reply online, via phone call/text or email as is most convenient for them.
Rsvpify.com is also very easy to navigate and customize.

Same here. Joy was the only one with a design that matched my damask design. It's pretty easy but could be better if I could change more on the app.
    So far so good though.

Ours is thru Zola and it’s been very easy to make changes, especially from the app. We’re using the site for info and RSVPs
