Wedding website on invites?

Kristen, on March 19, 2017 at 3:24 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 16

I'm sure there has been a thread about this but I'm on mobile. I'm designing my invites and was wondering if it was considered tacky to put our website on them? Our venue is hard to find so we are putting directions on our website, which is why I considered putting the site on our invites. However, our registry info is also on there and I don't want people thinking I'm gift grabby or anything like that.

On our reception card we put the link to our wedding website. It has information on valet parking and guests can rsvp there too.

I'm putting the website on ours. It has some extra engagement pictures, hotel info, and directions so I figure it's more than just the registry

It is how our guests will be RSVP'ing so mine will be on the invitation. We wanted to go a "greener" route and not use so much paper so just doing a single invitation....no suite.

We put our wedding website on our details card so people could go access all the info electronically. The details card had the room block and website info on the front and directions on the back.

It's definitely acceptable to include your wedding website in your invitations so long as you aren't saying, "visit our website to see our registry!" I know our website had further details about the specific ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception locations within the hotel and descriptions of our entrée selections, electronic copies of the directions and room block info plus a list of things to do for OOT guests, our DJ's online song request page, and some of our engagement pictures. It didn't feel like we were providing that link just so people would go check out the very last tab on our website that included our registry info.

Ours is on our details card. It was also on our std but I know people will forget so I wanted to include it again.

I have a separate card for it. You can get great deals on vistaprint

I wouldn't put it on the RSVP card because guests won't be keeping that they will be sending that back.

We have a separate reception card because our ceremony and reception are in different places. At the bottom of the reception card we put "for hotel and shuttle information please visit ..." I didn't want to try and put all the travel info on the reception card because it was just too much.

I put it on the RSVP cards because I'm giving guests the option to rsvp with the card or online.

Do you have a separate details card? That's the only place I would put it. MNBride made a good point - the guests are mailing back the RSVP card.

We did a small business card insert with the URL for the website on it, separate from the RSVP card.

We are going to include ours on the accommodations card. My FH is building our website from scratch, so I want to make sure people have opportunities to see his work and get more information that we simply can't put in an invitation.

Your guests will return the RSVP card so I would put it as a separate details card that they keep.

I put it on the RSVP card. I gave them the option to either send the RSVP card back or they could RSVP online.

Our RSVP was online so our website had to go on the invitation. I think it's fine to have a link to the website, but make sure your site has more than just a registry and pictures of you.
