Wedding Website - Minted vs Weddingwire

SoonToBe, on January 29, 2018 at 11:10 AM Posted in Planning 0 6

Hi all,

Has anyone tried the Minted wedding website. I'm trying to decide if I should use that one or the WeddingWire ones? I can get a website to match my invites on Minted but want the RSVPing to be easy for guests online.

Does anyone have experience?

Thanks,
Saken

Hey Saken, it'll probably sound disengenuous if I recommend WeddingWire, huh? Lol! I will say I got married a year before I started working for WeddingWire and I used WW for my wedding website, so hopefully that makes my vote a little less biased!

I'm using Minted so it matches my invites. I tried several different ones, including WW, Knot, and a couple others. I liked how easy it's been on Minted (uploading the guest list also means that my invite list is ready for printing). It also lets you select a max number of RSVPs each guest can have, and it'll prompt them with any additional questions you'd like to customize before they can submit the RSVP, like dietary restrictions or meal preferences. I was also able to get a premium upgrade when they ran a special, so I got the custom URL for free which was cool

Do you have to get your invites from minted in order to use their website?

Thanks for asking this because I'm trying to decide the same thing!

I’m not 100% sure. It’s says it’s free. I just got annoyed when they required additional fees for a personalized web address.

The basic websites are free. But like pretty much every site you have to pay to upgrade for the personalized url. I got mine when they ran a special & it was free for the upgrade otherwise I would have just used the generic url
