Wedding Website Etiquette

Jeanette, on June 21, 2017 at 10:04 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 13

Hi all! I was just wondering what is the proper way to announce your wedding website? Mine has a lot of info on it about hotel accomodations, event times, locations, etc, but it also has my registry info on there too so I know that announcing you have a registry is a no no to most people. I don't want to take that part off of my wedding website because it is really nicley done in its own section and not the focus of the website. I figured I would just let my Bridesmaids put the info on the shower invitations but I have a lot of people coming without female dates. Just a thought and wondering what other people have done in this situation. Thanks everyone!!!! Happy Humpday!

You could put it on save the dates, otherwise I put mine on a separate card part of the invitation since my guests have the option to rsvp on there.

I already sent out my Save the Dates. I did it a little early because I'm having a destination Wedding.

It is perfectly acceptable to have registry info on your wedding website.

You can let people know about the website on your Save the Dates (if you have them) or invitations.

I put mine on the RSVP since you could use it for that.

Ours is on the bottom of our save the dates. It was the best way of letting people know it exists because not everyone who is on our facebook pages are invited. This way only your guests can view it

I put it on the back of our STDs with a note to visit it for hotel information (lots of OOT guests). I also put it on the bottom of our Details insert in our invitations saying guests could visit our wedding website for more information.

Ours was on our save the dates also, but if you've already sent them out you can include the link on an insert in your invitations, just something simple like "For accommodations info and more, visit out wedding website at www.weddingwire.com/yourwebsite". You can also send it to people individually as they will probably be asking you where they can find info on your registry etc. Smiley smile

We added our website on our invite, because our guests were supposed to RSVP via the site.

I do believe though, that the etiquette is to not add the website info to the main invite, but add a smaller card (or put it on the RSVP card).

I hope I am making sense- English is not my first language, so please excuse any errors :-)
