Wedding Website and Security Concerns

So I am considering making a website through wedding wire for the purpose of being able to easily disseminate important wedding info to guests and making RSVP's easier. The only thing is, I know that WW have the ability to pose huge security risks (in letting people know when family's homes might be unattended, etc.) that and the FH and I both have some issues with crazy ex's that we don't want to have access to the site. Anyone familiar with how the Wedding Wire site works and if it includes options like usernames and passwords? Are there any built in security options that I can utilize?

We put a password on ours and then put the password on the back of the save the dates!

You can require a password for access to your website. It is one of the options on the settings tab.

I, too, password protected our wedding website. It was one of the things that drew me to WW. Lol

My concern is that my ww profile information is still searchable on Google. I didn't even use a WW to host my site. I can search my venue and come up with my profile pics and pics of couples I've frIend. It also comes up with my profile if I search our names. Not a big fan of that. Anyone know if there's a way to disable that?

I password protected as well and included it in the STD. We've checked a few times and so far, we're not searchable.
