Wedding website and registry on invites?

Sydney, on October 19, 2019 at 12:01 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
Hi friends. Is it considered rude to put registry info and wedding site info on your actual invitations or should that be reserved for wedding shower and/ or save the date cards? I’ve obviously never planned a wedding before so I’m just clueless and dumb and would like some input. Thank you!

I have my registry info on my website. I had the site listed on the back of my Save the Date post card and I included it at the bottom of my “Detail” card enclosure with my invites. I’ve also seen people add it in small print to the bottom of their actual invitations. I’m not sure if it’s etiquette but I think it’s okay !!

That information usually goes on the detail card included with the invitation. But really it is your wedding. So if you want to put it on the invitation, go for it! I too had no clue but I read a few wedding websites about it.

From what I've seen, wedding websites are fine on invitations. Registry info isn't though Smiley smile

If you're using your website to RSVP then you can put it on the invites, otherwise you need to include it on a detail card separate from the invitation. Registry information NEVER EVER goes on anything EVER, unless it's a bridal shower invitation! (Before websites, guests would ask the parents of the couple where they registered, or ask the bridal party (which I think is dumb), or it was also included on a details card with the invitation)

Registry info shouldn’t go anywhere except the wedding website or shower invitation.
