We are here today, to witness and participate in a ceremony celebrating the public acknowledgment of a love which Emilia and FH have for each other.

Knowing that by our presence here, with them, we are saying that they are loved by many.

This celebration is for the union of these two hearts and minds.

It is a celebration of the joining of two souls already attuned to each other.

We are here to bear witness to their entry into the covenant relationship of husband and wife, of these beloved friends, who are already one in spirit.

It is our expectation that those of you who have already taken the vows of marriage, as you listen to them share their vows, perhaps it will strengthen your memory of your happy day, and remind you of the meaning of the vows you yourselves once took. Perhaps it will even strengthen the bonds of love that has been growing between you.

This day you take a giant step of courage and commitment to love, understand and grow.

(I left out all the stuff in the middle, If you want I will email it to you)

    Exchange of vows:

    Bride/Groom Repeat together:

I promise to always stand by your side as your partner, your lover,

And your best friend. I give you all my trust and all my tomorrows. Its my desire to grow old with you.

My love for you will never fade

    Closing Remarks:

As you begin in your marriage, here are a few words you can take with you on your journey together:

Let your love be stronger than your anger.

Learn the wisdom of compromise, for it is better to bend than to break.

Confide in your partner and ask for help when you need it.

Remember that true friendship is the basis for any lasting Relationship.

Give your spouse the same courtesies and kindness you bestow on your friends.

Don't forget to say "I love you" every day.

May life grant you patience, tolerance and understanding.

My husband and I wrote our own vows, he spent a long time trying to come up with his and was really nervous about his not being as good as mine. I told him that as long as he says what he feels, and it makes him happy, then it would be good enough for me. His were about 3 sentences and perfect, he's quiet and shy and I knew how hard it was for him to put his thoughts to paper. Mine were straight from my heart, I wrote them in 15 minutes and I love them.

"Alex, when I first saw you I knew in my heart that you would be an important person in my life. What I didn’t know, was that you would be THE important person in my life. As we became friends I realized that you are such an amazing person that anyone would be lucky to say they have had you in their life at all. You have been a best friend to me through wonderful times as well as through difficult times, and have talked sense into me when I’ve shared some of my “less-than-brilliant” plans with you. I know from the deepest recesses of my soul that you are the love of my life; just hearing your voice each day makes me smile. (cont'd)

(cont'd) Sometimes I feel like my heart is so full of love for you that it will just crack and spill…but I know that as time goes by, my heart will only continue to fill, because my love for you will never stop growing. And so, I promise to love you with my overflowing heart for all the days of my life, and I will try my very best to keep you happy and to be your best friend through good times and bad, because I do completely understand just how lucky I am to be sharing my life with you.

sorry for the long post! good luck with yours, just remember, if its your feelings, you can't go wrong.
