Wedding Video Delayed

We got married July 20 and we were supposed to get our wedding video by December 20, but I checked the progress chart my videographer updates weekly and we aren't supposed to get it now until January 25. I was already sad because it was taking so long, but I was happy we were supposed to have it by Christmas. Now we won't have it by Christmas and I have no clue why it is now going to take even longer. The videographer told us when we booked that the time varies for how long it takes to get. Is it normal for it to take over 6 months to get your wedding video?

Did you sign a contract with the photographer? If you did, see what that says and if it does say December, I would reach out to him and say that you are concerned with the date change.

Hey Veronica! I'm sorry that the date change means that you won't have your wedding video by Christmas. Pushing the date out could be due to a number of different reasons. Does your videographer work alone or with a small company? If they do all the video recording for all the events they are booked for and also do all the post-production and editing work, an unexpected busy spell may cause all of their projects to be pushed out slightly.
Have you thought about reaching out and asking why exactly the date was pushed back?

The company is him and his wife. My guess the day is due to October being a popular wedding month and the holidays coming up. When I originally asked when I could expect it he just indicated that it can vary.
