Wedding venues

Steph, on May 29, 2020 at 8:27 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9
My wedding venue still is not open. I also do not think they’re going to allow a big gathering anytime soon there if it did open. Can you please let me know what state you are In and if any wedding venues are open and letting 80 plus people gather???
This is going to make or break my wedding plans.

I don’t think any states are currently allowing gatherings of that size. In CA gatherings of up to 10 are now allowed, I’m in Chicago and we are still on our stay at home order. I would be very surprised if you can have a gathering of 80 before the end of the year.

Are you looking at moving venues? You could look up COVID policies in surrounding states to see if other places are less restricted. I live in Delaware, minutes from New Jersey, PA, and Maryland. All four states are handling things differently and scaling restrictions back at different times. I am getting married in September, hopefully. This is such a stressful time to be getting married. Best of luck!

Ohio is allowing 300 effective June 1st as long as we socially distance at banquet halls/venues. Makes no sense lol, we are not allowing gatherings of more than 10 anywhere else though!

NC is only allowing gatherings of up to 10 people indoors and 25 outdoors. Our next phase of reopening tentatively starts at the end of June, which will allow larger numbers to gather.

I'm in CA and yes it's still only up to 10 people allowed for gatherings. My venue is still not open either 😔 but it seems like we are moving through the phases and at a good rate though. Where in phase 2.5 and need to be in phase 3 to have weddings. I'm hoping we'll be in phase 3 by the fall.

Massachusetts is still limiting to 10 people or less and there is no announcement as to when that will change.

I'm in Kentucky, and we can currently have 10 person gatherings. I think we are moving up to 50 in July.

NC is still limited to 10 people indoors and 25 outdoors through at least June 26. TBD on what is to come after that, but most likely another level of restriction. I don't see them opening it up entirely from there.
