Wedding venues in Maine for 50 or less guest

Alyssa, on August 6, 2019 at 5:51 PM Posted in Maine Planning 0 8
My fiancé and I have been looking at a lot of places but they either say nothing about how many the guest minimum is or says you must have 150+ guest
we are doing the traditional sit down dinner with meals crafted by chefs instead of a buffet style for or wedding day (we do plan on doing a buffet style for the rest of our friends and family back in Kentucky) {I’m from Maine but we live in KY where he is from}
i wanted a view of the ocean for our wedding ceremony. I know getting a beach permit is almost impossible now a days.
anyone have any places they know of that are fine with 50 or less guest?
Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Alyssa Smiley smile

    The WeddingWire venue directory is a great place to search for a venue for your wedding day!

    It’s possible to filter by capacity, however, the lowest option is 0 - 99. On the different venuesWeddingWire storefronts under ‘FAQ’, you can see what the minimum number of guests are required to book the venue.

    Portland Wedding Venues

    It’s also possible to filter by venue type (waterfront wedding, beach wedding, hotel wedding, etc.).

    I think you and your FS are going to find this planning tool really helpful in your search Smiley smile

    Do you have a theme/style in mind for the wedding?

    Hi Alyssa!

    What part of Maine are you looking at/hoping for? I know my venue doesn’t have a minimum, but I’m not getting married near the ocean (which I’m a bit bummed about, honestly! At least the fact that we can’t take any photos in front of the water)!

    Wolfe’s Neck Farm in Freeport could be a good place to check. They have a wedding field, looking over the ocean (I can easily grab photos if you would like, my parents live right down the road!) and they also have a barn too.

    Sorry for the super late replies! (I have started a new job and haven’t checked the app in awhile! Apologies!!!!)

    my only request is to be on the coast line. I have family all over Maine. Mostly in southern Maine or closer to east port and my grandmother and the flower girl live in Augusta (in a small little river town but I can’t remember the name at the moment) bit everyone lives on the coast so I’m not too picky about locations!
    @stephanie
    i would love some pictures! My fiancé and I can’t get to Maine until Christmas so we wouldn’t get to see it in the greener sense lol Smiley smile

    I probably won’t get there tonight, but tomorrow or Sunday, definitely! It is seriously one of my favorite places on earth.

    Hi! I looked into the Maine Boathouse in south Freeport! It’s gorgeous, however requires less than 60 guests & we’re having around 80 so it was out of the question for us!
