Wedding Venues and After Party in one Location in Nashville or New Orleans??

Taryn, on January 16, 2018 at 10:21 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

My fiance and I live in Canada and we're hoping to have our wedding in Nashville or New Orleans in the spring of 2019. The norm in Canada is for weddings to continue until the early hours of the morning, but I'm really struggling to find a venue that will allow us to stay late (even without amplified music). We're ideally looking for a venue, even if it's a private location outside of New Orleans or Nashville, where we can keep the party going until 1:00 AM. Does any locals have any suggestions? They would certainly be appreciated!

I have heard of some venues allowing past midnight for a surcharge, but don’t have an example. I would just start sending mass emails with that question and see who gives you a yes.

There are several music venues in Nashville that are also used for wedding venues. I'm sure most of those would allow for later weddings since they're used to doing concerts and events so late too. You could check out Marathon Music Works or the Cannery Ballroom are 2 great music venues / wedding venues.

If you are in new Orleans, just hit the bars after! It's such a great city with a great night life and bars stay open pretty late. Ms Mae's is 24 hours if you really think you can party that long. 😉

Cannery ballroom and marathon music are both HUGE venues. But cannery is actually one of 4 venues in that building (different venue on each level). I’ve learned now have a venue just for events. Primarily weddings. It’s called “ONE”. I would check there. Because Courtney said, the rest of that building is primarily used as a concert venue/bar. So I’d bet they may be an option. Also, try Acme Feed and Seed. Also a multi level building right on the main strip. Also a bar.
