Wedding Venue

Brittany, on April 5, 2021 at 12:15 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13

We are currently looking to book a Venue for our reception and ceremony and we found one we both love that included everything we want within out budget. However we have only looked at about 5 places and I'm not sure if we should keep looking to see if we can find another venue that may be a little more affordable or if we should go with this venue we looked at.

I only looked at 5 venues before booking. If you feel like it meets all your needs within your budget, is there anything that's making you hesitate on putting down a deposit?

Not really the women we worked with was amazing and made us feel really comfortable, its just since this is all new to me (like its for everyone lol) I am just nervous that I will make an expensive mistake.

You mentioned 2 things: love and within budget. You definitely can't go wrong with that. The last thing you'd want to happen is spend your time to look at more venues, not finding anything and ending up going back to the one you love just for it to no longer be available on your date. It's not about how many you look at, it's about finding the one you love. Good luck with whatever you decide.

If you love the venue and it's within your budget I would book especially since 2021 dates and 2022 are booking up fast,

There is a phenomenon called "choice overload," which is when you have too many options and become so overwhelmed you are unable to make a choice.

You can very easily do this to yourself during wedding planning.

I only toured five venues. I think many more than that and it gets overwhelming in most situations.

Especially considering you already found something you liked, five is plenty.

Book it! If you love it and it’s working budget you don’t need to see any other options.

If you guys love it and it works for you, then I say go for it! I only looked at 2 venues in person and looked at hundreds online and through phone calls but making a decision. I feel that when you know, you know!

We only toured 7 venues before we booked our venue and we had the same feeling as you do. It was within our budget and we loved it. So if you both love it and can afford it, I'd stop looking for a venue. There are SO many options out there, you will overwhelm yourself if you look at too many.

I researched a LOT of venues, chose the top 3 I felt fit our budget and our needs, plus an extra one that FIL heard about through the grapevine. (...It had not shown up in my research. At all. For a reason.)

The 2nd one we saw, we knew was our venue, but we looked at the next 2, just to make the parentals feel better.

If you found one you like and it's in your budget, go for it, and don't stress about "what you might have missed". If you do that, you'll look forever.

I picked the first place I saw. If you love it, it doesn't matter at which point you found it!

If you fall in love wish it than that's where you are supposed to get married and have your reception. No sense in continuing to look if you have found one you both can agree on.
