Hi,
I just got engaged and I really don’t know where to start. I booked a appointment to see a venue to get a idea of what I like what I need to prepare for and if I’ll like this place.
My FH is a truck driver so he is on road a lot so I booked my first appointment with me and my mom. He doesn’t mind if I go or wait until he is back home. He thinks we will see many so it’s fine but I don’t know if it’s ok since he won’t be with me if I should even go. This is the first venue shouldn’t he be there or am I freaking myself out already. I do move 1000 mph so maybe I should just wait until he comes. Do people go looking without there FH is that normal.

    Congrats on the engagement!

    I don’t see a problem with him not going. Just make sure to take your own pictures and stuff and get all the information you need from them. My fiancé and I work work roughly the same shift and days, so we were able to go with each other. I don’t think it’s not normal for just one person to go. Sometimes that’s just how it is. Before you go, I would talk to him about any questions he has for them and if they have information on wedding wire, look that those to get an idea for the questions you want to ask. Most places also let you email them about any additional questions you have afterwards.
    Also, I would look at some Pinterest boards and stuff to get some inspiration for your wedding. You guys can both bounce your ideas and thoughts about what you like and don’t like venue wise.

    I Booked my venue without my FH there. When he was finally able to see it, it reminded him why he is marrying me. He trusted my judgment and I knew he would love it.
