Wedding Venue Sc?

Almarina, on May 7, 2019 at 2:45 AM Posted in South Carolina Planning 0 14
Hello Everyone!

I am looking for venue suggestions in South Carolina! My fiance and I are hoping to find something that has both a ceremony space and reception area. Preferably not a "barn/rustic" style venue. Would any lovely brides have any recommendations?

Thank you so much in advance!

Where in SC are you wanting to get married? I live in Charleston and am getting married here but I’m originally from another part of SC!

    Hello Allison,

My family lives in Greenville, however I am open to anywhere in the area! We are planning our wedding from a far due to my fiancé being stationed. So it’s been a bit of a challenge!

Hey I'm I. Charleston and we are getting married at the aquarium. It's gorgeous, has ac, based room for the reception and ceremony, and it is pretty much already decorated because of the great colors and the animals. If it is close I would recommend it. We are getting married next month and I will post pictures.

I highly recommend Alhambra Hall in Mt. Pleasant, SC (Charleston area). It's an absolutely gorgeous venue and it is SUPER affordable. Most people marry outdoors underneath the Oak tree and then host their reception upstairs in the main Hall, so you can do your ceremony and reception all in one location there. Rental includes tables and chairs, which is a rare find. The Hall is a blank canvas, which I found extremely appealing. It will work for just about any theme. Also, the rental includes use of a HUGE bridal suite and a separate groom's suite. The bathrooms are also big and very nice. Another thing I love about Alhambra Hall is that you're not forced to use a certain caterer, etc. You really can make it whatever you want! Check out the website! Smiley smile Smiley heart

Unfortunately, you may find it difficult to find a non-barn venue especially in the Upstate. That's the issue I'm running into as well.

We are getting married at magnolia plantation in Charleston. It is so pretty. You have three different venues on the property that you can choose from. We chose the conservatory because it looks like a green house. The ceremony is outside for all of venues unless it rain and the reception has a house to use.

We are using Twelve Oak Estate. It’s rustic, has indoor and outdoor space. They also have several options to choose from for an outdoor wedding. Kevin who owns the venue is also a DJ and great to work with. I’m getting married there in November and super excited.
