Wedding unity

We did a sand ceremony.

Unless it’s something religious or, like your family said, there are children involved, I don’t really understand unity ceremonies. For us, vowing to spend the rest of our lives together was uniting enough.

We're tying the knot. Literally. He's navy and its a nod to that.

It's similar to a sand ceremony where you have two different colors of sand blending together but instead it's different colors of glass pieces. After the wedding, you ship the blended pieces back to the company and they make a hand-blown glass sculpture out of it! This is the one we're ordering

It's whatever you 2 want. We didn't do one. A wedding ceremony is a unity ceremony in and of itself. If you want to add in extra, by all means. But I don't think it's necessary if you aren't interested.

We are doing a Unity candle. I like the symbolism of it. One member from my family lights a candle for me and one of my FH family does the same for him. Then we "bring" those two families together by lighting our unity candle.

We are becoming a blended family and will be doing a love locks ceremony. My FH and I will have a lock to put in and so will our 2 boys
