Wedding undergarments---for the smaller chested women.

Marti, on November 11, 2010 at 11:28 PM Posted in Planning 0 18

I am having a really hard time finding undergarments to wear under my dress. I think I found waist clincher that will work, but I can't find a bra to save my life! I BARELY fit in an A cup and all the A cup strapless bras I have found online are the adhesive gel kind or come up really high in the back. I've tried the adhesive bras on before and they don't look natural at all. My bridesmaids suggested going bra-less, but I'm not comfortable with that.

Are there any other smaller chested brides out there who know of a good store/website where I can find decent bras/bridal undergarments?

What about just using the silicon cups that are backless and stick on?

With your dress, I don't think you can use a bra that's not backless. Even the low back ones might be a bit too high. Have you tried some of the higher end lingerie stores? They may have a better selection of sizes for you.

I use those stick on silicon cups and a bra. That way, the bra fits snug AND the silicons add shape and cleavage. It's unnatural, but does the job, especially for pictures! If you need something low, I've seen bras at victoria's secret where they have clear low backs.

It depends on your dress also. If the dress has a well formed bra area, then the silicone type basically just rest against the dress and lift up what you naturally have. I also am barely an A and my dress has well molded cups on it so I just need a little something to add some bulk to the bottom and lift mine up. I'm also having the straps on mine changed to better suit the smaller girls.

If I recall correctly Laura used sports tape for her dress since it was backless.

The last wedding I shot, the bride had the seamstress sew in a bra...not the thin little cups they sometimes sew into dresses. Her seamstress took an actual bra,cut the straps off, and sewed it into the dress. Depending on the style of your dress, maybe this would work for you? This would keep the bra in place without it showing around the edges of the dress.

Why don't you see if the seamstress can sew some boobs in? That's my plan!

I'm in this boat too. I know I've tried the silicon cups but on me they just really don't work. It's the cups are heavier than my bewbs. My dress is corset so I think I'm just going to ixnay the bra all together but someone mentioned the sports tape and I *have* done that before and it works well - it just not very attractive when you take your clothes off or take the tape off.

I never thought of sports tape. I was just going to skip the bra.

I went to Victoria's Secret & got the new Biofit strapless..another good option is the very sexy bra that adds 2 whole cup sizes!!! I originally wanted that one but they didn't have my size.

I have those silicon cups too, and I cannot get them to work for the life of me! They don't push my boobs up at all, and very minimally together. I went with a b-cup but now I'm thinking maybe they're too small or something. Any suggestions? Am I just placing them wrong?

I've just used the Huge Silicone Boobs from FakeABaby as they do look very natural. I'm comfortable wearing it. Hope this helps our current brides-to-be who are also humble-chested lovelies like us! Smiley smile
