Just Said Yes October 2013

Wedding under $4000 budget

I have been searching for months for the perfect Ceremony/Reception area. My Fiancé and I are looking to get married in September/October 2013. We live in Severn, MD and would like to keep the wedding within the Anne Arundel County/Baltimore area. We have a total budget for everything from attire to centerpieces to venue/catering. The one real thing I won't have to worry about paying for is hair and makeup as my Aunt will be doing this for me. One stipulation to the whole wedding I have to ensue is met is my Fiancé's needs. He has a disability which can cause him to lose his balance easily and he cannot stand for long periods of time. I need some assistance in finding a venue that will meet his needs while still being beautiful. We are open to outdoor weddings but whatever the venue no steps nor lumpy gass as a walkway is an option. We need clear direct pathes to the venue. We would like to do something small with no more than 50 people max. We would also like to do the ceremony/reception in one place. At this point I feel like I'm running out of options and the wedding we initially wanted to have is out of reach. We have considered many parks but some of those are even out of our price range. We started looking into renting rooms at a restaurant but haven't had much luck in finding one . I need to make sure my Fiancé's needs are met first and foremost and the rest we can work around.Any advice at this point would be much appreciative?

We looked at non traditional restaurants to host a restaurant wedding. I found more options this way and many restaurants were accommodating. The problem I encountered is some restaurants couldn't fit 50 guests like ours in a certain section.

We ended up find out venue at this website... Smg like "intimate weddings". Google that.

The other idea that worked well was searching for rehearsal dinner places at WW and other wedding vendor searches. We found more options this way.

Have you thought about a community center or a fire hall center? In my area you can rent out rooms with the fire hall they have a room. or the community center we can rent. Also there is the local VFW have you thought of any of these?

I am working with about the same budget as you and I can tell you that its extremely double. I also have double your guest count. sample sales are great for budget brides as well as white prom dresses which tend to be much cheeper than "wedding" dresses. my fh got slackes and a dress shirt on sale at kohls for 65 dollars. concider a afternoon cermoney so you can provide a light meal such as sandwiches. my friend also did a cake and punch reception. if I add everthing into my budget its about 5k but we had our family give us things as gifts like fh parents paid of the venue which was 900 and my aunt is doing my favors and the catering. feel free to private message me if you would like help.

I'm in the same boat just a bigger guestlist. Maryland is such a wonderful place to get married...I had this whole plan of getting married on the water and once I really started looking, I couldn't find a thing that didn't need a $3grand deposit...UNTIL, I came across the MD Yacht Club in Pasadena, MD. They are very accomodating and should you choose an outdoor ceremony there's a concrete sidewalk that leads to it.

It's not expensive in fact quite the opposite. Do look into it. I love my venue! So glad I picked it!!!
