Guys, I kid you not two days ago we decided to get married this October after thinking we would get married next October and start the wedding planning this coming August. Well about 3.5 months away, little money saved, let’s see if I can do this under $1,500.

I understand that, which is why I said if they are wanting to do something minimal they should just elope. Better than spending money they said they don’t really want to spend and hosting an event that they are trying to spend as little as they can
they haven’t seemed to pin point the amount of guests: it’s somewhere between 45 or 60 which is a big difference when planning
they Also said no one is helping pay, yet they are using someone else’s house to host ( I think future In laws ?) - which we know is a big cost to a wedding.
Buying food and just “putting it out” can lead to food poisoning, that’s why people hire carters make sure they keep the food safe to eat.

Yeah, I agree . I have never been called “evil” in real life or online before. It’s very strange

There is nothing wrong with having a wedding outside the norm. Goodness knows, my own wedding wasn't anything of the sort. We even served sandwiches (albeit gourmet ones).

However, some things should be non negotiable- chairs for guests, some kind of shade if it's outdoors, proper attention to food handling/safety, and an appropriate amount of bathrooms.

I would not want to stand at a party for two hours. Will everyone have their own seat?

Yes man. There should be more than enough. I just double checked my list with my inlaws and our list came to 48 people including the photographer and officiantSmiley smile I am under contract with a rental company for 60 chairs and there will be tents everywhere to cover the food and our guests in the event of rain. They all are also able to fit inside the home.
