If you attended a wedding where the bride announced "actually, we're not ready for marriage but we paid for everything already so let's party!" what would you do?

A. Stay and party, someone has to drink the liquorB. Ugh, leave due to shock and disappointment

I knew someone in college who called off their wedding but had everything paid for, everyone went and drank and ate for free and celebrated this person not getting married haha.

Did people still give monetary gifts? I feel uncomfortable going empty handed places, but gifting cash because one didn't get married seems strange!
