Wedding Times!

I am having such a hard time deciding what time to do my wedding. Catholic Churches on Saturday are difficult because you can ether do a 2PM wedding for a 5:30PM wedding.
My wedding is November 12th, 2022 so the sun sets at 4:20ish. Would it be crazy to do a wedding that starts at 5:30pm? It’s all indoors and we would do a first look before the church around 2:30pm and do group photos outside in the light and the reception would end around midnight.
Or does the 2PM mass sound better so my guests can see the sunset at cocktail hour through the windows of the room. I would still want to do first look photos so I would have to be completely ready by 11am! And the reception would end around 9pm I’m so conflicted with these time choices.

I think you have to ask yourself what type of vibe you really want and how early you want to be up to get ready. If you want to get ready later or want a party type vibe then 5:30 pm would be better. I also don't see any issue with the ceremony starting after dark since you plan on having the photos prior. I doubt your guests really care about seeing the sunset.

I was ready to say 2pm but if you’re going to do a first look then I’d definitely go for 5:30pm.

It’s up to you Caroline!! If you went with the 2pm mass, would your cocktail hour start at 3:30? That could make for a really long day if you party through 9pm!

I think I’d choose the 5:30 mass and make sure to do pictures beforehand!
