Wedding Times

What is the time frame for your wedding? My fiancé and I are trying to decide on having the wedding at 5 or 6. We have to be out of the venue at 11:30.

I forgot to add our ceremony and reception are all in the same venue so no time needed for traveling, just room to room Smiley smile

Our ceremony is at 7pm. We're having a very formal evening wedding which is what we always wanted. It's in the same place as the reception and that will end at 1am. Our family/friends stay up late so it works perfect.

Gotcha! In that case I may go with 6 if you can for the sake of the sun in your pictures. I don’t think the hour will make a huge difference but pictures best come out closest to sunrise/sunset if that makes a difference to you.

I'm getting married late summer and our ceremony starts at 5:30pm. The bar opens at 6pm for guests while we take our photos. We don't have super planned timeline other than that, but we picked 5:30 for the ceremony so that we can take advantage of the "golden hour" for photos after the ceremony. We have the venue until 10pm so we'll have four hours of celebration. I think what time you start your ceremony depends on how long you're planning for it to last.

My wedding is at 3:00p.m didn’t want anything to late because I don’t want my guest to sit and be hungry while I get married for a wedding that late in the evening.

Ceremony 3pm, cocktails from 3:30-5, reception 5-12 with dinner at 5:30. We are doing all pictures before the ceremony so we can mingle with guests during cocktail hour. Gives us more time to talk to everyone and not have to try to talk to people over the loud music!

I'd just start at 5. Better too early than too late!

Does your venue have a time limit? If not, make it last as long as you can. Ceremony at 3/4pm.
