Wedding Themes

I have had my heart set on an autumn themed wedding for some time. However, we have to move our wedding up from October 2020 to January 2020. Is it ok to have an autumn themed wedding in the middle of winter or would it just look disjointed?

I think it's ok. Remember that like any party, it doesn't necessarily have to go with the season it's in.

An autumn wedding in winter would be awesome! Your theme doesn't have to match the season Smiley smile

I feel the rules about colors and themes are arbitrary. When we were touring a venue, they were setting up for a wedding. The couple had planned on a early spring wedding with light pastel colors. In a turn of events, they needed to bump up the wedding 4 months to a rainy December afternoon. It looked great and apparently the bride wasn't worried about it either.

Obligatory "it's your wedding so you can do whatever you want". That being said, I think carrying over autumnal ideas to a winter wedding would work best if it's not too explicit. Using fall colors, having fall flavors in your meal/cake, rustic details like burlap and hay, things like that would be totally fine. Something like having all your flowers be "roses" made of red/orange/yellow leaves could look a little out of place.

It's just like having "breakfast for dinner". I see no problem!
