Wedding themes for August

Adriele, on April 20, 2017 at 12:55 AM Posted in Planning 0 12

Hey guys,

So I'm looking at all these STDs and can't choose one I like because I don't have a theme. Our ceremony will be outside with lots of trees and a pond behind our guests. And our ceremony will be inside but also have the option of going out on the patio for space. We're having an indoor outdoor grilling menu.. if that helps! lol I would love to hear you guys ideas!

You could do a simple one with a pic of yall on it. Or do one that has trees on it, or take a pic of your location and use that pic.

Oooh sounds similar to my wedding locale and vibe. I was liking STDs and invites that looked like a twilight sky with fireflies and twinkle lights, or like a simple meadow. We ended up getting some with a night sky and moon/stars hanging.

I don't have a theme for my wedding. I'm going more for a vibe- romantic and whimsical. Here are my STDs. They don't have much to do with my vibe at all. My FH and I just like that picture and the simplistic layout.

If you all take engagement photos, use those for the save the dates and coordinate the colors. This is how we did ours.

Its best to stay away from photos of you kissing too. though you may like it most people don't want a picture of a couple kissing as and STD.

Personally, I don't get the whole theme thing. The theme of my wedding, is wedding. lol. But seriously, don't sweat it.

We picked a STD with one of our engagement photos on the front and on the back we put our wedding website and a couple more pictures of us.

Update us with your STDs when you get them OP! Also, if you want to use a picture of you and your FH kissing, I don't see an issue with it. I'd personally rather see you kissing than standing there together looking like you were forced to hold hands or something Smiley tongue

If you do engagement photos you could choose a nice photo from the session and make it as the background for the card. Generally, STDs (at least the ones I've see) don't fit the overall theme of the wedding. it's more of a fun card that fits yours and your FHs personalities.

I think I just need to stay away from Pinterest! Lol, I'm like people have themes!? But then again everything about this wedding is non-traditional so I should just enjoy it and have fun! I will update you guys with what we decide to do! Thank you for your help and kind words!
