We have decided to do the night in separate places on the eve of the wedding. So I booked our Honeymoon suite for two nights (so I don't have to change rooms either).

That will be a beautiful "wow" moment for you both at the altar for sure! My fiance and I are doing a first look. I initially was against it, but after talking to our photographer, we ended up deciding that we want to do a first look! We want to attend cocktail hour to enjoy the appetizers we picked out and also to spend more time with everyone, so we will be taking almost all of our photos before the ceremony.

I totally understand wanting to spend every moment together, especially when you already spend a lot of time apart during the week!
Thank you for asking this question. I assumed my daughter & fiancé would want to spend it separately. Fortunately, I had read thru a lot of these comments. The other day she told me they wanted to spend the night together before their wedding & I was able to say ok, that makes sense! They have always done things their way & it works well for them…who am I to intrude on what they want for themselves? They are adults & can & do make their own decisions! I want them to be happy & honestly I think they will be more grounded if they spend the evening before together! They are also doing a first look! Again, thanks for posting the question!

That's a smart idea to have one of you stay in the honeymoon suite the night before the wedding so you don't have to change rooms the next day!

Very cool that you're following the tradition! Are you doing a first look before the ceremony? Or will the first time you see each other on the wedding day be at the altar?
