Hi Lisa I dont know if I answered this question before or not lol. Me and my FH are spending the nights away from each other the last we will see each other is during the rehearsal and at the dinner the night before.
Maybe we’re a bit too traditional but we stayed in separate rooms until our wedding night. However, my husband drove us to the venue to get ready and we did a first look before the ceremony.

This is what my fiance and I are doing too! Then we'll part ways after breakfast, and won't see each other again until our first look. Are you also doing a first look?

That's very considerate of you to not want to wake him up too early! Staying separate makes sense. I'm sure the puppy will also be happy to have at least one of you at home!
So we had planned to spend the night apart before the wedding but ultimately decided that the old superstitions were pointless and that we wanted to spend that night together. I woke up earlier and started getting ready while he slept in a little later, so we still ended up spending about 5-6 hours apart before our first look and still had the same excitement when we saw each other!

I think that's a great reason to stay apart! Time with friends is also important, and that can make for such a fun way to spend the evening before your wedding!

Awesome that you're following the tradition! Are you doing a first look before your ceremony? Or will the first time he sees you on the wedding day be at the altar?
We are going to stay together the night before. We already live together. I don’t want to worry about booking and paying for a room, remembering my contacts toothbrush etc. We will drive to the venue in the morning and not see each other until the ceremony.

This is similar to how my fiance and I felt too! We also decided to ditch this tradition. We didn't want to pay for two rooms, and I think being around him the night before will help keep me calm and not as anxious. We got rid of many traditions, but are following some of them. Are there any wedding traditions that you are following?

Awesome that you're following the tradition! That will make for one special moment at the altar for you both. Very cool that you're spending the night before your wedding with your teenage daughters! That will give them some beautiful memories for years to come.
