Wedding Site

I see that a lot of people on here have said that for their wedding site that they had their guest refer to they used The Knot. I was wondering if there are any pros or cons that yall can give as to why you used them (or anywhere else) instead of WW?

We used WW, so I can't speak to any other service, but I would definitely avoid the WW platform if you plan to do online RSVPs. It's super glitchy and when guests search for their own names, the entire guest list comes up. Not a super big deal to most, but it just seems odd to me for my random coworker to see my entire guest list.

Oh yeah that would cause some issues for us. That might be a deciding factor for us.

I did the Knott. I loved that they would text everyone who hadn’t rsvpd a week before the rsvp date. I also like how simple the website is. I was able to add covid info in the “notes” section and it shows up right on the main page

I did The Knot. The RSVP system is super easy to use and the website was super easy to setup. I'd recommend them.

Ours is on With Joy. The Knot wasn’t as user friendly and had really limited options. A friend of mine has hers on there and hates using it. WW wasn’t an option for me because we’re doing online RSVPs.
I love With Joy. It’s so, so simple to use, and I think the options are beautiful. The guest list and RSVPs are private. You can customize schedules to individual people and groups of people, so guests will only see events that they’re invited to. It doesn’t require a password for guests to access anything, including schedules, but you can choose to have one. You can password protect the whole website or just certain parts of it. I like having control over who sees what so that I can put all of the information there (such as rehearsal dinner stuff) without worrying about prying eyes.

The biggest reason we used the Knot instead of WW was because of the RSVP function. We found it so much easier to navigate with the Knot (guests also pre-selected their meals and RSVP-ed to our rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch through the Knot). It was super easy to use and the Knot sent out reminder emails to those who hadn't RSVP-ed by the deadline. I would highly recommend the Knot! But if you're not going to have guests RSVP online, then I think you'd be fine with WW though.

We are planning on doing RSVP's online, from what I am seeing WW will not work for us so now I am looking into the Knot a little more. Thanks!

We were on the fence about a website and the research I did came up with WithJoy being a top contender for its ease and flexibility. Or making our own with wix.com and uploading applicable widgets.

I can't find the article offhand but womangettingmarried.com did an independent rundown of several popular sites including The Knot, Zola, WW, and they were toward the bottom for flexibility and ease of use.

I use Zola! They have an RSVP option and it can be personalized. We’ve had no problems!

For our website, I used Wix. I started off with WW years ago with my ex but never actually finished much. I didn't care for the templates and I could barely customize anything and that was a big must for me.

I hear from others that it isn't great when it comes to routing your guests to rsvp because your whole guest list gets exposed and meal options are tough for whatever reason.
