Wedding Shuttle- How to inform guests

Terry, on June 20, 2017 at 3:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

All of our guests are staying at hotels on the Las Vegas strip. We have room blocks at four hotels to meet everyone's budget but some guests are staying at hotels outside of those four.

We want to let our guests know where and what time to catch the shuttle to the wedding location (20 mins off the strip) but I'm unsure how.

Should I mail an "itinerary" type thing to all of those that rsvp yes?

I was originally going to do welcome backs but it would be a nightmare tracking where everyone is staying and having the hotels/resorts pass them out.

We do have a wedding website but are people really going to check it? I don't know.

Any ideas?

I included a card with my invites that had the shuttle info on it, as well as putting it on my website.

I put on my invites that there would be a shuttle however we won't know the pick up locations until we find out how many rooms are booked at each hotel. We have four shuttles that can pick up at four different hotels or all the same.

I put this info on my wedding website and included it in welcome bags. If you aren't doing welcome bags that's totally fine, you can still have info sheets given out to the guests by the hotels when they check in.

If you have just a few guests who made their own accommodation reservations you could always call just them.

We included a card in all of our out of town guest invites and listed it on the website.

I would include an insert with the invitation. Make sure to include directions to the venue in case anyone misses the shuttle.

We are including a "details" card with our invites that direct people to the website for more info.

@Terry- don't depend on the hotel handout. If the front desk people forget, your guests won't have the information.

I went to a wedding where we didn't know there was one until we saw people standing outside the hotel talking about it. I agree it should at least go on the website if you don't have programs. At least tell your coordinator or host so they can spread the word.
