Wedding Shoes

Brandi, on December 10, 2019 at 7:51 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13
Hello! How important are wedding shoes?! I like comfort over name brand, I have friends/bridal party who think shoes are important well “brand” is important. Does it really matter if no one will see it?! They feel I can find a comfortable known “name brand” shoe but I will never wear half the shoes they picked out again lol

It's up to you how important something is to you. It doesn't matter that name brands are important to your friends, they're not wearing them.

I would say it is only as important as you want it to be. Honestly I may skimp on those because I have plenty of heels that I can wear. If it is not a huge deal to you then put the money towards something else IMO.

I agree with PP's. It doesn't matter what your friends think, this is entirely up to you.

Personally I wanted to be comfortable and nobody was looking at my shoes anyway. I went for a nice nude block heel that was super comfortable and I could wear again. Wedding Shoes 1

They're only as important as you think they are.

Personally, I'm not a shoe person in general (I have what I need but definitely don't have a shoe 'collection'), and I haven't suddenly become enamored with wedding shoes either.

My dress has a lot of detailing, so I think I'm going to go with a simple nude shoe or one with very minimal bling. Since they're not the focus for me and not many people will see them, I don't feel the need to get Badgley Mischkas or anything like that. Comfort and price are more important to me than a brand name in a detail shot.

I think the most expensive I'd go is something in the Blue by Betsey Johnson collection.

    Go with what you like!

I definitely don't think designer is necessary. You probably want something that at least looks nice, because it might still show when you walk, but what you consider stylish should be up to you and not your bridal party. Keds and Toms both make wedding shoes that are sneakers/flats with glitter or satin options if you want comfort. Or you can find plenty of pretty sandals that aren't designer.

Get something comfy. Very few people will actually see them the day of the wedding. (Assuming you’re wearing a long dress.)

I would go comfort over style for this too aha. No one generally sees it unless you're gonna specifically do shoe shots for photos

I'm wearing Adidas because I wanted to be comfortable and have something I will wear again. Definitely wear whatever you want! It's your day and in the end the shoes don't matter as long as you get to marry the love of your life Smiley heart

But I will say— dont count on them not being seen. Mine were definitely seen and noticed— they showed when I walked, and I lifted my dress to dance more easily a few times , so I also wouldn’t suggest to wear something you’d be embarrassed if someone saw. But, that’s personal! I definitely chose my shoes for comfort, and chose something that I would wear again.

I'm wearing a pair of shoes I already own. They're going to be covered by my dress anyway, so I couldn't justify buying a whole new pair. It's totally fine to stick to comfort over brand! Even wearing a pair you already have is good, too! It's your shoes, not your friends'

Mine are white lace sneakers from David’s Bridal! I’m pretty tall anyways and love sneakers so I never really imaged heels as apart of my wedding attire.
