I'm planning on putting my RSVP date by Sept. 6th for my Sept. 26th wedding. I have to let my venue know 7 days prior to my date our final counts, so I figured if I send them out late July or early August I will have enough time to track down the people that didn't RSVP on time.

I think July 18th for you date is a little early... unless you're having a DW?

Venue needs a week, I want my rsvp date 3 weeks before wedding date. Will mail them end of July early August just like FutureMrsChang.

Don't just arbitrarily make up a date. When does your caterer need your final numbers? Take that date and make your RSVP date about a week before so you have to track down anyone who didn't respond.

I put Sept 1, about 3 weeks from the wedding. Final head count is due 10 days prior to the wedding and that gives me several days to track people down. I thought putting the date a day people could remember might help. Also my cousin is getting married the weekend after RSVPs are due so hopefully they will respond to both at the same time. My hotel block expires one month before the wedding, about a week before the due date.

You're too early for both. Add a month to both dates unless you have extenuating circumstances.

And I agree, July is way too early. Based on when your final numbers are due, I would mail late June/early July and RSVP around late August.

A 2 month in advance RSVP date is too early. You need to check with your venue and caterer and find out when they need final head counts and then go 1-2 weeks before that.

I'm getting married the week after you. My caterer/venue needs the final head count by September 10th our RSVP date is August 31, so that gives me a week and a half lee-way.

Also unless you are having a lot of OOT guests and did not send out STDs with hotel info, your invites are also being sent out too early. You need to hold off about a month before mailing those out.

I'm sending out invites July 25 (or a couple days earlier) with an RSVP date of Aug 29. That's the date the hotel block ends, and gives time for stragglers to send in RSVPs and to hunt down the others and turn in our count for the venue! Hope that helps!

Way too early! At the absolute most, 3-4 weeks before your wedding. That's also a little early for invitations to go out, unless you are having a destination wedding.

My wedding is sept 19 and my due date is August 1. I am also not anticipating having a majority of them back on time.

Find out when your count is due. I would recommend an RSVP date a couple weeks prior to the due date for the count to give you enough time to track down stragglers.

I'm having my returned about 4 weeks early, then a week to chase ppl down. a flex week just in case of I don't know what, then let the caterer know at 2 weeks.

Date twin! I'm sending my invitations out the beginning of July and plan on asking for rsvps by August 22nd. I thought 3 weeks gave me enough time to track down the ones that don't and have all my final counts.

I would find out when your vendors need final head counts, and make your RSVP date like 2-3 weeks before that so that you have time to account for stragglers

I agree that's a little early to send them out. I'm sending mine out July 9th and requesting responses by August 14th.

I made my RSVP date a week before I actually needed it. So 5 weeks out. I really appreciated that extra week as I feel like no matter when the RSVP date was I was going to have to run around and chase a few people down anyways!
