Hello fellow wedding planners! I'm having a hard time deciding what to do for a send off, my two options are sparklers or glow sticks. I will have kids at my wedding so I was leaning towards glow sticks but they are older so sparklers will work just fine. I have priced both and they are about the same, so that doesn't help. What one do y'all like better?
I love the sparklers! I'm having glow sticks only as a favor for when they get to the dance floor so.. I'm thinking if you're tight on money then the glow sticks would be a better option to do double duty since they can act as a favor and as your send off

Good idea! I don't know if I would want the glow sticks to be used before the send off though.
I like the sparklers better aesthetically! I asked FH if he wanted to do sparklers for a group photo (we don't have a send off) but he said no because we would be copying our friends who did that exact thing for their wedding. I didn't really want to spend the money on it either. The glow sticks are creative! I haven't really seen that, if you are looking to be different.
We did glow sticks - I had concerns about little burnt places in my dress and our kids were all under 10, so also had concerns about one of them grabbing the burning part. It turned out wonderfully.
I love, love, love the sparkler idea! I think it is much nicer than the glow sticks, depending on what your theme is. However, if you are looking for something more lasting, then glow sticks are your best option.
Never even thought of glow sticks, that’s pretty neat! We’re going with sparklers. Just fits better with our Adirondack rustic-ish... ness. 😂 Glow sticks would def be more kid friendly though!
I personally wanted to do glow sticks until I went to a wedding that had them, one of the guests got too excited, broke it, and started to sling the glow stick juice everywhere.

😮 well that definitely put glow sticks out of the running! I would cry if glow stick juice got on my dress
Not meaning to rain on the parade of course. As long as you can trust everyone would behave it should be fine. Just be cautious. It ends up being one of those "is it worth the 10% chance that it would happen". That just kind of put me off the idea because the same person is coming to my wedding and that happening was all I could picture.

Our wedding is kid friendly so I'm sure someone would take it too far and explode a glow stick. I never even thought of that happening until your comment so thank you for saving the night!
I love the look of sparklers, but I feel a lot safer around glow sticks (which maybe says more about my friends than anything else). I know that doesn't really help you decide but I don't think you can go wrong!
