Wedding schedule

Hey guys! I’m getting married on Saturday July 11th. I’m hoping to get some insight as far as how you scheduled your days.

I have a lot of out of town guests that if they don’t come in until day of won’t be able to check in the hotel until 3. Is 4 a good time to start ceremony? I feel like it’s late but I have no idea what I’m doing.
I am doing ceremony pictures reception all at the same venue.

If you want an evening reception, 4 pm is a fine start time, I would even consider it early. I personally would prefer a 5 pm ceremony and that would give your guests more time to settle in.

Welcome to the WeddingWire community Jordan!! Congratulations on your engagement! It’s totally fine to feel like you don’t know what you are doing, a lot of couples in this community are planning a wedding for the first time also, so don’t be afraid to ask questions!

As the previous posters mentioned, 4pm is a perfect time for an evening wedding and you could have it at 5 if you felt like that fit better into your schedule. Is the hotel for your guests far from your venue?

Has your venue dictated a time when you will need to be out by that evening?

The hotel is about 20 minutes from the venue.

There is no out time for the venue as we have reserved it for the whole weekend.
