Is anyone getting a silicone wedding band? How does it work with your engagement ring? Pictures if you have them please.

I have silicone bands, but I (and most others that I know) wear it when my actual e-ring and wedding band could be damaged; swimming, at the gym, yard work...I don't wear it with my engagement ring.

Usually people get silicone rings because of safety for their job or hobbies, since it is not always safe to wear a metal ring when your hands can get caught or injured. In that case it would be moot to wear your engagement ring (metal) with a silicone ring since you still have a safety issue.

I work in medical and my FH is a truck driver. He is heavy handed and a silicone ring is the best option for him. I will get one too as I am wearing gloves and changing frequently in the day. I found some nice ones online.

I’m also medical(Nurse Practitioner) and my FH is a gunsmith. The silicone bands make the most sense for us. Occasionally though, I might want to wear my engagement ring with it.

We got silicone rings - for me for when I’m weight training and for him mostly because he bikes everywhere in the city and I know metal rings can be a huge hazard in an accident.

I got my FH one from enso and was able to have it engraved too. Got him a nicer one for when we go out and the ceremony etc...

Seconding Enso as a brand - I got myself a band from them when my e-ring had to be at the jeweler's for almost a month, and have since bought four more - 2 for each of us - to be able to wear in place of our rings. I'll probably only wear mine to the gym, beach, etc., but I expect FH is going to like the silicone bands better than his metal one haha

We both have one, we wear them when we don't wear our normal bands (hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, swimming, etc.)

My fiance works with power tools at his job so we were discussing him possibly getting one. We have a friend couple who just got engaged who wear their silicone bands now while engaged. It looks like they wear the nice rings out, and trade the silicone bands for going to work.
