Our rings don't match to reflect our styles and we're fine with it.

They definitely don't have to match. I'm not sure what you mean about the enhancer not being an actual band. Most people with enhancers just consider that their wedding band.

Nope - they definitely don't have to match. I personally like match-y looking rings a little better, but I'd rather FH have a ring he actually likes and wants to wear than one that matches mine. Because he's super not picky and expects to wear a silicone band more than a metal one, we ended up getting a couple choices for him from Amazon. He has a standard silver one that we'll probably use for the wedding, a silver one lined with yellow gold, and a sandblasted silver one with blue lining. I think they averaged about $15 each, and he's excited about having options haha

In that case, I already know which ring he likes so I can go ahead and get his. He may want us to go ring shopping after I finish my job for the summer and join him in NY so I'll keep my eyes and ears open just in case something else catches his eye.

I know he likes black diamonds so I looked at a few that had some and found one that he likes so I'll more than likely go with that one.

Nope! FH and I aren't matching, but they will be the same metal color. We both just prefer silver jewelry in general.

We aren't matching at all! He picked out my engagement ring without any input from me (totally not a ring I would pick out for myself but he bought it so I love it) and it was hard to find a matching band. For him he wanted 2 rings (he thinks he will lose one) so one is titanium with rivets and the other is titanium and blue. He's happy so I'm happy haha.

Nope, ours don’t match either. FH has very limited options due to the overbearing demands of his employer, so it took a while to find his. Mine is white gold with tiny diamonds, his is stainless steel, plain with beveled edges.

You're going to wear these for the rest of your lives, and you might not have the same taste. My FH is probably going to get a yellow gold band, and my engagement ring is platinum.

Definitely don't need to match. My band has sapphires and diamonds to match my e-ring but his is a white gold band with a satin finish.

The only thing we agree on is white gold for the metal lol

Aside from that, I guess it will be whatever catches our eye. We still have some time to make a decision so I'm not stressing over it yet.

I don't think your rings have to match. Mine and my FH rings are slightly different. Mine is rose gold with a morganite in a diamond halo. His is silver tungsten with rose gold on the inside, so we match slightly with the rose gold, but when wearing them you cant tell.

They definitely don't have to match. Back in the days when both people wore plain gold bands they would match just because of that. But even in the 1970s, when I first got married, that tradition had gone by the wayside as more women were wearing white gold, while more men were wearing yellow. These days, each person's ring can really be anything you like.

Definitely not! Ours kinda did, but only because we both chose really basic/plain rings.

We both got pretty simple white gold bands but other than that they didn’t “match”... we just picked out what we liked
