Wedding rings on honeymoon?

If you're nervous I'd say to wear a placeholder while you're traveling. I'd be nervous too if my ring had so much significance! Europe is amazing- so jealous!

I did not! I bought a $20 cubic zicornia ring from target and wore it.

1. I had my wedding bands soldered to my engagement ring while we were gone

2. I didn't want to lose it or misplace it on the trip

3. I had a friend who was in a club internationally and someone bumped into her and spilled her drink. He grabbed her hand to steady her. It was actual a ruse and he slid her ring off while chaos was going on and she didn't notice until an hour later and it was gone. It's not just housekeeping you have to worry about.

I actually left my fake rings on the bathroom counter one day and came back to a note from house keeping reminding me to put valuables in the safe

I plan to buy a Swarovski band for $75 to wear. My friend got one and it looked very convincing yet you wouldn't be saddened to loose it.

I love to travel and taking my jewelry out of the country isn't worth it.

My cousin lost his wedding ring on vacation. I misplaced my engagement ring 20 . times when I first started wearing it. Ditch it at home for sure. One less thing to worry about

We won't take ours, instead we're planning to get silicone ones, like Qalo, as we may be doing excursions and don't want anything to get caught.

Thankfully we will only be gone for 1 night and taking out big one in a year and thankfully I got us matching rings for a dollar off eBay so we will use those since we're going to Cancun for a week

Planning on wearing the beater tungsten rings and qalos (while diving!) on our Australia honeymoon. E-ring's insured but it'd still suck to lose it.

We will be wearing our Qalo bands on our honeymoon in Southeast Asia. Not taking any chances.

I bought my FH and I silicone rings to wear.

We wore ours on our honeymoon in Punta Cana with no issues. I thought about taking a fake ring, but just didn't want to part with my rings for a whole week. You just got to do what makes you comfortable.

I would not take them!! Europe is very well known for skilled pick pockets. I lived in France for a year and witnessed it happen too many times. They are so sneaky you never even notice. It's easy to find an American to target because Europeans don't wear engagement rings!

We just went on a cruise a few weeks ago and I wore my engagement ring while we were doing stuff on the ship but I put it in the safe when we got off the ship to go to Haiti and Jamaica. There was no way I was going to risk wearing it. I wasn't about to draw attention to myself as a tourist lol.

The thing is, if you misplace or lost the fake, it's "what ever its $20,$50 down the drain". You misplace a family heirloom? You can't get that back. Even if your ring is insured and it's not an heirloom, it's still the memory of the proposal and wedding and that has meaning a new ring couldn't replace

We are wearing solid gold bands that we bought from Walmart for about $30 each. Leaving the fancy stuff at home just in case.
