Wedding ring finger

Spb, on July 3, 2019 at 11:26 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15
My SO asked me if he can wear his ring on his right hand after the ceremony...
His ring fits loose on thw lefr and he feels uncomfortable but perfect for right hand.. we already exchanged it once bc it was to tight.. only to figure out he had been trying it on the wrong finger..🙄 he doesnt want to go through the whole exchanging the ring again ...... soo....
Is it bad if he does wear it on his right hand??

Well, I wouldn't want my husband to wear his wedding ring on the other hand.

Go to you tube. You can downsize a ring with clear nail polish.
My engagement ring is too big, we've had it sized twice. I'm going to try the clear polish myselfSmiley smile
    Good luck!

It’s really up to his preference. Some people don’t wear a wedding ring at all.

I wouldn't want my FH to wear his on his right hand, but that is my personal preference. This is ultimately up to the two of you!

My husband wears his on his right hand. A lot of European men do it.
He asked me if it would bother me and no, it doesnt. He's the one who has to be comfortable in it and I don't see why it's such a huge deal which hand it's on.

I think one should be happy that the other wears the ring period. Personally I care more about my husband's comfort than appearances but that's just me. 🤷‍♀️

It's not "bad" but it won't look like a wedding ring... can you just get it resized?

I wouldn't like it. They have resize bands on amazon. I have one for my engagement ring currently cause it's too big.

I don’t think it honestly matters. Whatever works best for you guys. You both know what the ring means and at the end of the day that’s all that matters.

I would probably just let him wear it on the right hand. FH didn't want to wear one at all at first and I was upset but got over it haha. Now he picked out a really nice one and he is excited about wearing it.

Would he consider sizing it, or getting sizing beads put in? If not I think it's fine if he wants to wear it on his other hand if that is what he's happiest with

I will wearing my wedding ring on my right hand. I suppose part if it is what significance a ring has to you. Is it an outward symbol that you are taken for others, then it's probably important to have it on the ring finger of your left hand. Is it a symbol that your SO is always present ( which is what I believe) then any finger will do.

I did have a discussion about wearing a wedding ring on my right hand, and my FHs first response was no. But after I explained what I wanted and why, he didn't care where I wore it.
