Wedding reschedule

It’s been awhile I came to visit...with all that’s going on I hope everyone is doing great and in best of health!!
So all my planning had crumbled, I have to put my wedding off and push it back till next year, even tho Jamaica is open and taking in travelers and stuff my fiancé thinks it’s best he comes in December time since everyone is rushing to travel now and so much came up during this trying times so we just had to reschedule for next year.
I was thinking of doing just our ceremony like in December and have a reception next year, what you guys think about that?

    That super sucks. I feel your pain. My wedding in Jamaica is also postponed to 2021. I think it’s just fine if you want to still marry your man this year! Would you still have the reception in Jamaica next year? I wonder if less people may go simply because you already had the ceremony.

    We went the “get married now and have the big reception (hopefully) next year” route and I think it’s a great option! Honestly, pre-COVID, it was a fairly common thing and now it’s almost the norm!

    I'm so sorry you are going through this! However, I personally love the idea of having a small wedding this year, followed by a larger reception next year. This gives you a chance to dress up TWICE.
