Wedding redo

One thing I would re-do is absolutely splurging a little more in areas we thought we should have saved in. Although the guests may not care or notice certain details I think some things look way better in pictures. We probably would have gone more dramatic with the florals and gotten a new dance floor but other than that there is nothing we would have changed.

I honestly would have just eloped like I had originally wanted to. COVID really put a damper on things and ruined our wedding plans on 3 separate occasions. At that point, we were fed up and had a quick 8 minute ceremony in our backyard followed by ordering some food that was delivered to our house. All of the stress, constantly having to change plans/consider everyone else’s thoughts and opinions became too much. Grateful for what we did instead.

I would not hand off my jewelry to someone else and turn away guests who came nearly 2 hours early…. It became a chaotic mess and I forgot all my accessories so my best look was captured on my phone after the photographer had left.


I would also add having a checklist! I might not have forgotten my jewelry in the chaos had I had a checklist and/or someone to help and manage said list.

Definitely photos! I didn’t get any photos of just me or just my husband, we did a lot of us together and with the bridal party. But I would’ve loved to have more of us separately too!

I wish we had added another hour to the reception for dancing. It went by way too quickly! That goes to show how much fun we had.

And I wish I had made a list of photos to give to the photographer before the wedding. I didn't get a lot of pictures of the entire wedding party.

I think I would have had a smaller wedding. Very personal and intimate. I would definitely have written down all the photos I wanted to take. My husband and I didn’t get a picture alone away from everyone. Other than that it was beautiful and I’d marry him 100 times again!!!
