Wedding reception

Norha, on February 13, 2021 at 4:06 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6
Hi ladies! Our wedding is this coming June, and there’s a possibility that our reception will be more a dinner reception (with no cocktail hour - given covid and state restrictions). How do I incorporate taking pictures since there’ll be no cocktail hour?

    Take pictures before the ceremony

I think a first look/pictures before your ceremony would be the only logical option in this scenario

Could you do a seated cocktail hour?

We had a small wedding with the cocktail hour and dinner taking place in the same space. Even though people were free to mingle, most sat at their tables and only got up to get drinks and snacks.
Even with a cocktail hour though, we did a first look and the vast majority of our pictures before the ceremony. We only did family portraits and a few golden hour shots afterward.

If you don’t mind me asking. How long was your reception? I feel like I have to reshuffle everything...

I don’t mind at all! Ceremony was 4:30 - 5/5:15-ish, cocktail hour started immediately after, and we wrapped up dinner and everything by 9.
