Do long garlands of greenery! In my experience, it last quite a while too without wilting or turning brown. It's also not hard to do yourself, you can find tutorials on YouTube. 😊

How many guests for 24 tables? I saw on your profile, you're going for Elegant, do you mean white, cream, and traditional? You could try bunching rented table runners, and adding clear or colored votives mixed with small bud vases with single strand flowers. You can also do textured tableclothes, and group different height bud vases or tall lanterns 2 per table. Greenery garlands can still be expensive, so I'd get a quote.

For non-traditional: You can go garden wedding with potted small flowers, even succulents and guests can bring them home. You can also intersperse fruit for color and wimsy. For height, you could do single palm leaves in a tall vase, 2 per table or grouped together.

However, for a cost-effective party of 24 tables, you may want to limit decor or even limit guests. The more guests the more expense. I'd consult a florist or wedding designer for decor options, so you do not have to lay out and break down DIY the day of your wedding yourself. Good luck.

We had a couple long tables and did the greenery and candles route. We bought the garlands from Costco for 4 for $99 and they were great - very full-looking and easy to keep alive.

So I have the same situation and initially thought I wanted garland. It seemed cheaper than flowers. Turns out (unless you get it from Costco) it really isn't much cheaper, especially if you want candles. HOWEVER, if you do loose greenery, which looks very similar, it's a lot cheaper. It doesn't require the florist or yourself to have to wrangle it all into a garland, saving time and money. It also requires fewer stems of greenery.

A cute alternative I've seen online are using budvases with single flowers along the table.

You could do a cloth table runner, strew flower petals along it, and line votives down the middle of the runner. Maybe a centerpiece in the middle or every few feet (depending on how long the tables are).

Freesia may be inexpensive, and I think they can be painted.
