Wedding Program Poster

Paige, on March 23, 2016 at 1:12 PM Posted in Planning 0 25

I am thinking about doing a wedding program poster when you walk into the church instead of having individual programs for everyone. I have found some cute ones on Etsy that you get a download and then have printed. Has anyone else done this? Where did you get the poster from? Something like the image below.

You can get something like this printed at Staples for a not too bad price!

I don't think I'm doing programs either. I love your idea!

I'm bumping this. I've been trying to figure out how I'm going to do my poster program as well.

I think this is a great idea. I hate having a program in my hand when I'm trying to enjoy a ceremony.

Cute idea, but what would you do with it once the wedding is over?

I think it is cute, but can I give you my personal opinion? I don't think that I would stop and read that. I think there would be lots of people crowded around it trying to read it.

Programs in general are not required. But I will admit that we did programs just because we wanted them as a keepsake. We designed them ourselves 2 to a page lengthwise then had them printed on card stock and cut at Office Max. They cost us $5 for 60 programs (30 pages printed, 2 to a page). Anyway ... I know you didn't ask for that advice, just letting you know you can do it inexpensively yourselves.

Wow I love this idea! I really didn't think of this, but it does save a lot on printed programs. I am trying to stick with my Bollywood theme and printing out programs that match the theme was becoming quite expensive. I'd rather do something like this and since out wedding is at a museum we can display this like a painting.

I don't love the idea of programs so we're skipping them all together, but if you want to do something then as a guest I would definitely prefer the poster to a printed paper program. A lot of people just throw them out and then you end up wasting money.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED our programs (we did individual paper ones). BUT...we have a TON left over, basically pointing to so much money we wasted. If I could go back I would go with a poster of mine instead.

We are doing something similar. Our venue has shadow boxes we can use so we are putting a program in one of them. If they didn't have the shadow boxes, we probably would've skipped them.

Although it is cute, you will have a huddle of guests reading it and many will pass it. We are not doing anything and I don't think people will realize it's missing.

It depends on how many guests you are having.

But it's cute. You could get it printed at walgreens I believe. Or shutterfly

That's a cute idea, but it might not actually save you money if that's what you're going for! Staples would be able to print that for you and then you could either frame it or have it printed on something thicker so it would stand on an easel. But between the printing (cheap), and cost of frame/easel, you could probably just print programs (our programs were only $11 for 130). So if you choose to do it, do it for esthetics and not for cost savings.

I like the idea, but if you're looking into saving money by going this route you may not actually save much. You could always skip it all together, no one will notice! I do like this though!

I love this idea super cute! You could display as people are entering your ceremony space as well as the guest book table (or whatever you are doing). I love the idea of also being able to put in your home after the wedding.
