Makenzye, on May 16, 2019 at 12:13 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
Hey ladies so my FMIL really wants to do wedding program fans for the wedding, we are getting married in July so I understand it. I feel that It is just an extra expense that we don't need, but I also do like the idea. there are pros and cons for me and im not sure what todo.

If she wants to do it and is willing to pay, tell her to have at it.

I ordered mine off Etsy for about $150 I think. I really like the idea of having them. Honestly though don't let your MIL pressure you if it's not within your budget. Kindly explain it to her. If she is really insist on it then tell her if she wants them she will have to pay for them.

I think you could do little fans like these for cheaper. I like the idea of the program and a who is who, but it's not really a must.

I got a template for 10$, I would have to put the fans together myself. for the amount of guest we have its cost a crazy amount. I can go to office max and pay around 80$ for them to be printed out on card stock, but I will have to fold, cut and glue them. she said she would pay.

Exactly. But if you're open to doing something that's not an actual "fan" and just a piece of heavy paper they can use as a fan, you can get an Etsy template for a few dollars, and then send them off to office depot (or wherever) to be printed on cardstock. We did that and it was maybe like $20 for all 100+ programs.

I ordered a template from Etsy, got shimmer card stock paper from amazon, and took them to a local print shop who printed 200 pages for about $30

I ordered a template from etsy and card stock from amazon. I am having my coordinator put them together. Its very cost effective.
