I think it’s fine that it’s on a Sunday but on Halloween may be difficult since people with kids will probably want to take them trick or treating

It’s your day and you should choose what day and are work best for you. You might have some people leave a bit earlier because they have to work Monday but maybe you could start a little earlier. Typically Sundays can be a bit cheaper too which is nice. Try not to let the opinions of others seat your decisions or the planning process will be long and frustrating. Good luck!

An afternoon wedding that’s over by 5 pm ish for families to go trick or treating works fine.

Any reason you don’t want a brunch wedding? Might be cheaper for you & easier for guests on Halloween.

Regardless of her role it’s still your day. Politely let her know that you appreciate her thoughts but you and your FH are making the final call.

Absolutely. I don’t see an issue with this.
What a fun anniversary date (Halloween). There will always be parties to celebrate.

A Sunday if fine. But it’s best to keep the time of day in mind. Early afternoon weddings that end by 6 or 7Pm (or earlier) make more sense. Versus trying to have a reception that goes late into the night. I initially wanted a Sunday brunch wedding that started around noon and was over by 5 PM. I feel that’s the best concept for a Sunday wedding.

I’m sure it will be! 1) Halloween is already fun, 2) you’re marrying your love, 3) appreciate the surprise moments (good and mishaps—those are funny later).
