Wedding postponed :(

Cristina, on July 6, 2020 at 10:09 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10

I never thought I would be writing a forum like this. I am completely heart broken that we have had to postpone our October 25th wedding to next year. We still plan to get married through the courts in October but it's still sad that I've been planning our wedding since 2018 and we we're so close and now it's not happening. I now have to check in with all my vendors to make sure they will all be available on the same date. We picked 5 date options that our venue still had open for next year. Even choosing next year dates was hard because we still don't know what next year will look like. We chose to pick dates April onward because I think between Jan-March things may still be in limbo. I'm really trying to stay positive but it just sucks. For any other brides out there who have had to postpone or are thinking of having to postpone my heart is with you Smiley heart

We postponed our 9/19/2020 wedding until September 2021...we’ve been planning since 2017. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this too. Hang in there and know that your disappointment and grief is valid. ❤️

So sorry you had to postpone! It's definitely not an ideal situation. My fiance and I postponed our July 2020 wedding, and while it was very hard for a while as we talked about postponing, I did feel a lot better once a new date was set. Give yourself time to process your emotions - they are valid! Best wishes!

So sorry you had to postpone! been planning since 2018 as well and now our wedding God willingly will be July 15,2021. I really hope we won't need to postpone again. But some venues are advising to plan for 2022 which worries meSmiley cry

I'm sorry you've had to postpone 😔 same thing has happened to me. We postponed our August 2020 wedding to August 2021 but are still getting married on our original date. Right now we are working on plan B, C, and D so that we have something in place for every scenario (as you can probably tell, I'm a planner lol). We are making our final decision on July 15th. It all depends on whether Florida can get it together by then 🙄 I just keep trying to look at the bright side. Such as we have an awesome party planned for our anniversary next year. And I'll have more time to get in shape. The flower girls will be another year older and hopefully will be able to walk down the aisle without getting distracted lol. Little things like that make me feel a little better. I'm sending you virtual hugs though. I know how much it sucked to postpone everything.

I'm so sorry Cristina, I know this decision had to have been so hard!

At least you've made a decision now, and taken the immediate stress and uncertainty off your shoulders! Hopefully that will be a big mental and emotional relief. Smiley heart
