Wedding playlist

Jasmine, on November 15, 2019 at 7:05 AM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hey everyone I'm making our playlist for the wedding and was wondering how many songs are usually on the play list?

Is there a certain amount for ceremony, then another amount for reception?

It depends on how long each event is. This is what we're doing...

    30 minutes before the ceremony

    2 songs for processional

1 song for recessional (DJ will play more music if necessary while guests exit ceremony space)

1 hour of cocktail hour music

    first dance song

    father/bride song

    grandfather/bride song

    cake cutting song

3 hours of open dance floor music

    For our ceremony:

    - 1 songs for wedding party processional (no grandparents are walking the aisle because the only grandparents that'll be there are my FH's 2 grandmothers)

    - 1 song for bride processional

    - 1 song (non lyrical) for unity ceremony

    - 1 song for when we leave the ceremony

For our cocktail hour and reception, we are putting more songs than we know can be played because we'd rather be over prepared than under.
