Wedding planning

Meydilike, on December 30, 2019 at 8:42 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
I am going crazy and is just the beginning. I am not sure where to start with the wedding planning. I want something beautiful but at a decent price. Our budget that we have calculated is $15,000 for the entire wedding. I’m not sure what to do because I have been searching online for venues and they are super expensive. I feel like giving up even though I barely started.

See if you can rent an Airbnb. Sometimes renting a house is so much cheaper than a venue. You may have to have a smaller guest list though. We rented a home along a creek and there will be about a 20-30 person guest list. Sounds small but this also gives us the opportunity to be more lavish. Give and take!

Don’t give up! Start by making a guest list and figuring out what size venue you need, then your venues and pick a date. We chose November and saved a lot of money by doing off season, so It’s definitely worth looking at dates in the off season or on a Friday to save money. If you’re not in a huge rush, having a long engagement helps with budgeting and planning, we did about 2 years so we could slowly chip away at the costs of stuff.

Keep an open mind, and make a list of your absolute necessities, book all the “big” stuff and then start your fine tune planning.
It gets better once you start checking things off your list, don’t get discouraged, we have about the same budget and we’re doing just fine! You got this!

I don't believe Airbnbs actually allow people to host weddings. You can definitely host a wedding, but it depends on the area and how many people you want to invite. I would be more than willing to research some for you if I knew what area.

Depends on what kind of venue. Have you considered an outdoor venue? Like a hacerlo? Keep searching and maybe go a little out of your way for the venue. Wedding planning is going to be expensive, real talk but there are ways to spend less. Figure out budget wise which is most important and cut costs on the rest.

My budget for the whole wedding is 2000$, and i can tell you for one thing, as much as i love wedding wire, its not a great place to search for venues- and that really is the first step! Think about it, the whole app is one big ad for these services that theyre probably paying to target brides/planners. Its good for a lot, but not finding a venue. Plus, it only gives results to select locations.
Instead, google search for venues. Dont search for wedding venues, search for places you might want your wedding to be regardless of if it has the word wedding attached. In fact, its better if it doesnt. Places charge higher rates for wedding, so what ive been doing is calling places that dont have wedding rates/dont do weddings and inquiring about whether they would consider that for us. Usually they have no predetermined rate/service to offer, so im presented with a reasonable deal.
Another thing is, if youre inquiring at a place that has predetermined wedding rates, just say that youre throwing a party. Places charge more for weddings for no reason. This way, they give you the straight rate, and when they find out its a wedding, they cant charge that much more because then you can ask, what makes the price come up so much more? What extra must be done for a reception? What more really is a reception that just a big party so long as youre the one setting up/catering it all? You dont need a package with included services unless it saves YOU $$.

Search for venues on google and tour them in person! These kind of websites feature ones that are usually expensive!

    How many guests?

Don’t get discouraged! Venues often offer lower prices for: weekday nights, off-season, and/or brunch instead of dinner.

My guest list do far with just his side of the family is at 50 and that is without children and some without their significant other. My side of the family is at 30 already. I need a venue for max 100 guest. Even though i am trying to shorten it. Because we are the ones paying for everything. His family or mines are not helping us. 😥 I think thats why we are so stress and starting so early just so we can have our dream wedding.
