Is it tacky to shop around for planners in the same area? I'm getting married in St Maarten and my resort doesn't provide decor only seat covers and table clothes. I have reached out to two planners on the island both recommended by the resort, but I now notice there are multiple planners on the island. Would it be wrong to get a quote from them all?

    There's nothing wrong with shopping around for vendors. I wouldn't let price be the only deciding factor. See what their packages offer, call them on the phone to see if you jive well with them, and see how well they communicate.

    Shopping around for vendors is normal and recommended.

    Thank you, I was making sure. Agreed, I definitely need to be able to mesh well with them. I didn't want to limit myself but I was scared that it may create a conflict. But I will contact the others fro consideration.

    No it's not wrong to.its the same as other vendors in terms of you're looking for the best deal that suits your needa

    You should get as many quotes as you can. I got at least 10 quotes per vendor (so 10 for flowers, 10 for desserts, etc.). You need to make sure you are getting the best deal & also the best vendor (review wise).

    Nothing wrong with that at all, you should definitely shop around for both the right price and the right planner for your wedding needs.
