Wedding planning during Covid-19

Jessica, on April 11, 2020 at 6:14 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3
So My wedding is planned for Nov. 2021. I’ve had my venue booked since this past November before the coronavirus started. But now I’m unsure on what to do next. I wanted to do my engagement photos & start looking for vendors this spring/ summer but with all the restrictions & social distancing going on in NJ I’m confused on my next steps. Should I look into vendors now or wait and see how things plan out? What are some of you other 2021 brides doing? Smiley smile thank you all in advance for the help!

I think it’s definitely safe to start reaching out to vendors now. There’s really no need to have face to face meetings with most of them anyway, plus Zoom or FaceTime meetings are still an option.

Definitely start researching vendors! Anything that you need to eat first (cake, caterer etc) you’ll have to wait but you can still research.
Since a lot of people are postponing for 2021, I’d encourage you to start finding vendors sooner than later.
Use wedding wire vendor tool, it was super helpful for me! You can compare a lot and then reach out to the ones you think would be a good fit with any questions. Face to face meetings aren’t that important and you can talk on the phone instead!

    Hi Jessica,

Congrats on your engagement! While times can feel a little uncertain, I would definitely recommend starting your vendor search.

Online/virtual shopping could be another great way to explore options right now. We have found that many vendors are more than willing to be flexible during this unprecedented time.

I wish you the best of luck. oG6xfPxhl22aqdvrsPVmmW6aSC1fsJJ1eVnkqYBF My fingers are crossed for you!
