Wedding planning business?

Absolutely! Sounds like fun. After my wedding, I worked part-time in a bridal shop before getting a full-time job. It was so fun helping other brides find their dream dress. 👰🏼

After our wedding, many people asked me if I would go into the business, because we got engaged, planned the wedding, and got married in less than 8 months.

The polite, calm answer is NO.

One of the reasons we did it so fast is that I am not a fan of the WIC and the social pressures of weddings. I *love* forums, and encouraging people to do their own thing, but the commercial side of it?

NOPE.

I have had lots of though. Jan 2021 I start classes for my certificate to be a certify wedding and event planner. Very excited to start this business...

That sounds like a good idea! To be honest I would love to be a wedding planner or something of that sort. I love all things weddings and being on these forums makes me feel like I’ve gained some sort of knowledge everyday with weddings aha.

I have thought about getting into wedding planning as well! Before I hired a wedding planner, I was overwhelmed & stressed. Now that I’ve relaxed a little and watched how she does things, I think I could totally be a wedding planner. Plus, the money is good! I really enjoy helping others too.
