Day of coordinator literally is just making sure the schedule and things run smoothly day of.
A wedding planner actually helps you plan the wedding. A wedding planner can also be a day of coordinator.

You’d need to give them contact info of vendors and the timelines. And if you’re having them set up, then give them layouts or instructions of what you want.
