Wedding photography

Curious to see how much people are spending on wedding photography. We want to have 2 photographers and 1 videoographer, and a photo booth. I have contacted like 50 on here and many of them seem to be around 3-4k for just photography for 8 hrs with 2 photographers. Most seem to include engagement photos but only a handful include albums as well. We did find one we liked, both style and price and has really good reviews as well and its not a company that outsources. The guy is the actual main photographer. My fiance called and he quoted 3500 for photo, video, photobooth, and engagement, as well as some albums included. It seems like a pretty good deal to us and we have seen and like his work as well. Just wondering what people are paying and what they are getting for it. We are in southern California. Everything is higher priced here unfortunately.

$3500 is an insanely good deal for all of that!! We are paying $2500 for 4 hours of photography (no engagement shoot, no albums), and $2000 for 7 hrs of videography. No photobooth.

That's a very good price! Our photographer is 2500 for 8 hours and no engagement, but I have 2 photographers. Video will be about 1000 and photobooth was rented though our dj so maybe $600 for it.

We paid $2000 for 6 hours of photography and 4 hours videography (no engagement shoot/album) in No. Cal. Of course it was in midst of pandemic when vendors were desperate for business (Aug. 2020).

Northern California here. $2000 for 6 hours photography with assistant, and videography. All photos and edits included in package. I would like to preface that cost would normally be $4000 but I’ve been close friends with photographer for 8+ years

I had entered my and FH in a contest it was CLASSIC PHOTOS and we won runner up we chose a package the original price was $1,800 so they only took off $200. So we are paying $1,675 But we also suppose to get a extra photographer a video as well and are only there for 8 hrs and I think that we have access online for others pic. So we have gotten a great deal and we've seen his work so I'm pleased and believe that he will do a good job

We’re paying $7100 for photography ($6500 for 10 hours for our main photographer and then we chose to pay another $600 for him to bring a second photographer along for 8 out of those 10 hours). Then $3500 for our videographer which includes a 6 minute video and an hour long video of our ceremony, first dances and speeches as well as our first look and cake cutting. The highlights basically. We'll get our videographer for 9 hours. We’re not getting any albums or anything from our photographer but we really like his work and he travels a lot for weddings so part of that fee is travel as he's traveling 8 hours for us. He's also a New York photographer which I feel makes him pricey as well

We are in Cleveland, Ohio so not nearly as expensive of an area and we got a really good deal. We have 2 photographers for unlimited hours and the total was $1995. They have amazing reviews and their work is incredible. We got our photo booth through the DJ and that is $750.

We're paying shy of $5000 for 2 photographers and a videographer for 8 hours plus our engagement session. I have a feeling we might need to tack on an hour before/ after to make sure we have enough time for detail shots, some footage of everyone dancing after all the reception highlights, etc., which would probably put us just over $5000. We'll probably order albums afterwards for ourselves and each set of parents as well.

Vendor pricing varies so much by location and specific packages that it's nearly impossible to compare "apples to apples" by asking for prices from an international board. The best way is always get to local quotes and compare those. Sounds like you have done that and are finding out exactly what the going rate is in your area.

If all the quotes are out of your budget, you will need to cut back on the things you are asking for (2nd shooter, videographer, coverage time, etc)..

We paid $4k in 2020 for a package that included 2 photographers, an engagement season, 10 hours of coverage, and a 10x10 album. I always say to splurge on a professional photographer whose galleries you love as the pictures are the only tangible item (other than your marriage certificate and new spouse) that you have to remember your day by.

We're paying $3,500 for engagement shoot and 10 hours of single shooter coverage on the wedding day. We got a little over 100 edited images of the engagement shoot.

I’m paying $2750 for 8 hrs of videography and 8 hrs of photography. This also comes with a wedding album. Thought it was fair price compared to the other quotes I was getting
